Jourdan Dunn
Hello FabFairies, hope your day is going well? well mine is. I came across this post on BellaNaija, and i thought I should share it with you fabfairies.

British fashion model Jourdan Dunn has made history as the first black model to land a solo cover for Vogue UK magazine, in the last 13 years. WOW! isn't that so amazing?? A black model like us achieving such a feat, i think we should give her a standing O. Do you know what that means, being on British Vogue? The last time a black model graced the cover of Vogue was in 2002 and that was Naomi Campbell. Well *eye roll* Naomi Campbell is a supermodel, so she deserved it.

The 24-year-old model was so excited and shared the news on her Instagram page along with a cover of the magazine that she is featured on.
She captioned ‘I’m so Happy to finally say I’M ON THE COVER OF BRITISH VOGUE!!!’ Thank you Patrick Demarchelier and Kate Phelan for making this happen and also thank you all for the Love and Support it means everything to me #2015YearOfTheDunn.’
The cover, which is for the February 2015 issue, shows a simple shot of Jourdan looking stunning sitting in the sunshine in a Prada SS15 short summer dress. For the shoot she was photographed by Patrick Demarchelier and styled by Kate Phelan.
.
I like her face and she looks amazing in this magazine cover. So FabFairies reading this, no matter how many times you have been turned down or rejected for jobs, just know that there is something bigger waiting for you. All the top black models you see now making it in the UK and US, were also turned down, discriminated against because of their skin colour, but you know what, they came out stronger. So do not relent, do not get discouraged from this distractions and challenges, keep going for these castings, you will get there one day.
